Who
am I you ask?
A lifelong Conservative
I was sickend during the mid to late 80's by the poor media coverage
of the day. Every channel I watched had stories of raping, killing,
robbing. It was like the media all of a sudden had some type of agenda.
After all, as a class experiment in Government class, I had just cast
my very first vote at the tender age of 16. Whom you ask did I vote
for? Well, let us take a trip down memory lane. Who were the candidates?
- Ronald Reagan
- A man whom I consider to be one of the most influential, kind, compassionate
and caring individuals to have graced the White House during my life.
And of course I remembered the gas rationing of the 70's, thanks Jimmy.
- Walter Mondale
- Vice President under what I consider to be one of the most ineffective
Presidencies ever. Look here
for a full recap of those disasterous years.
Of course, me being the eternal optimist
and believer in the rights of the individual, selected Ronald Wilson
Reagan. And, that as they say was that. It was a fateful time, one that
over the next 23 years has led me to my eternal belief in the goodness
of people, the badness of Government and everything that Government
stands for. Now, I understand that Governement has a purpose. Unfortunately,
for me and for all Americans, Government had far exceeded its mandate.
These are sickening times we live in my friends; a time when criminals
have more rights than their victims, a time when Government throws numbers
like Billions & Trillions (hint: this is our money folks) around
like they are chump change, a time when Government fails at one of it's
original mandates (Sovereignty and protection of our borders), a time
when a politician has no remorse, or maybe guilt is a better word, when
he/she stands up in front of a crowd and flat out lies to that crowd,
a time when the leader of the free world is being selected, not upon
the basis of his/her character and belief system but upon his/her race/sex/liekability/etc.
So, what is one to do when one sees a
person who is clearly at odds to his/her belief system? The answer:
Create a web page clearly illustrating why he/she is not a favored choice.
And, then market, market, market.
One may ask: Hey; you've told us all
of this background but we still don't know where you stand. Well, that
is why I am going to clearly lay out my beliefs below:
- Size of Government: Too damned big. Too damned
wasteful. Too damned elite.
- Taxes: Too damn high. (Cut the spending and give
us our money back)
- Personal Protection (Not condoms): Incomprehensible
for someone to be charged with a crime when protecting himself/herself
from a criminal. A lifetime member of the NRA; I am a firm believer
that the Second Amendment to the Constitution protects every other
amendment. This is definitely a stroke of genious by our Founding
Fathers.
- War & Peace: It is clear to see for anyone
who has the wherewithall to understand history (History is the greatest
teacher of all. And, I have seen proof positive that mistakes not
learned will happen again. It is just a matter of time) that peace
is only attained by war. War is an unfortunate part of the human condition.
And, something that will always be with us as long as there are different
value systems/religions/cultures.
- Abortion: This is a tough one. As a practicing
Catholic I am told to vote strongly against the Pro-Choice politicians.
However, I am neither a woman, nor a man whom has a woman who is going
through the tough choices made in strenuous circumstances. So, I am
for Pro-Choice up to a point. I strongly believe the practice of Partial
Birth and Late Term Abortions was rightfully banned.
- Religion: The roll of the church/synagogue/temple/etc.should
be made by the individual. It is my firm belief that lack of religion,
any religion, is one of the main reasons this country is the way it
is. (Murders, Rapes, etc. on a daily basis)
- Global Warming: What a farce.
This is one of the biggest scams
I have ever seen. And, it is a scam that one man (Al Gore) has recruited
the
most corrupt organization in the World (The U.N) in order to balance
World economies. Don't mistake this for what it is my friends: A
get rich quick scheme and a Liberal feel good ploy to take your
money (Carbon
Credits) for the sake of the Earth and give it to third World
despots/dictators/and all around bad guys. My solution: Collect 10-15
years of good , solid, data (Data that isn't corrupted by being on
top of blacktop, next to air conditioning units, on a stovetop, etc.)
and then make up our mind. I don't know where you are; but I am in
Cleveland Ohio and we are freezing our butts off.
